The Assos Tactica Spring/Fall T5 is highly specialised for off-road gravel riding, trail exploration, and mixed-surface touring during the unpredictable weather of the shoulder seasons. Built for riders who refuse to let cold wind, damp air, and trail spray keep them indoors, these shorts combine rugged off-road utility with essential thermal insulation and are designed to be layered with leg warmers or if its extremely cold under bib tights without chamois for double insulation. They utilise the mobility-focused TRAILFIT T5 cut, which guarantees unrestricted freedom of movement when navigating technical terrain while accommodating the slightly thicker profile of insulated textiles. Compared to the summer-weight Tactica T5, this Spring/Fall version swaps out lightweight compression fabrics for a brushed fleece interior and a weather-resistant treatment, ensuring core warmth without sacrificing off-road agility.

ATURED FABRICS - RX EVO is a breathable, thermoregulating textile with an ECO water-repellent treatment and a soft, brushed inner face. The elastic elements are true black, so they don’t turn white while stretching. The pockets are created with panels of K-Net, a supportive, breathable warp-knit mesh that wraps contents in stabilizing security.

CONSTRUCTION/FIT - The TACTICA T5 mobility-enhancing fit is less aggressive than Assos racingFit, balancing streamlined, low-volume aerodynamics with multi-hour comfort and less restriction off the bike.

ENGINEERING - rollBar: A patented bracing design adapted from the Racing Series. Stabilizes the insert and locks it in place as your weight transfers while sprinting, climbing, and cornering.

zeroPressure Waist: A soft, highly elastic waist construction that improves comfort and hold at the waist, minus any pressure or pinching.

PILtec Plug-In: A lightweight, ultrabreathable textile band across the leg opening. The microdot silicone treatment is invisible from the outside but stabilizes fit and maintains grip while wet.

TACTICA T5 INSERT - Shock-Absorb Damping Mono: A single, breathable layer of 11mm of off-road comfort, engineered to absorb the micro-shocks and vibration of gravel and singletrack.

goldenGate 2.0: The insert is attached at front and rear with floating sides and center, letting it move with your body rather than against it. New cut-outs on the sides reduce volume and friction throughout the pedal stroke.

EQUIPE R & EQUIPE RS
The EQUIPE range is designed for performance road riding, fast training, and racing. These bib shorts feature a close-fitting, compressive “second-skin” race fit intended to reduce movement, improve aerodynamics, and deliver maximum stability when riding in an aggressive position on the bike.

MILLE GT & MILLE GTS
The MILLE range is built for endurance riding and all-day comfort. Compared to EQUIPE, the fit is standard with additional comfort-focused features designed for longer rides and a less aggressive riding position.

TACTICA
The TACTICA range is developed for gravel, adventure, and off-road riding the fit is standard and similar to the Mille. These bib shorts balance long-distance comfort, durability, and stability for mixed terrain and extended days in the saddle.

Important Fit Advice
ASSOS bib shorts are anatomically designed to fit best while in the riding position, not when standing upright. When trying them on at home, the shoulder straps may feel firm and the insert (pad) may feel slightly higher or more noticeable than regular shorts. This is completely normal and is intentional within the ASSOS design philosophy.

Once seated on the bike, the bib straps relax into position and the insert is designed to sit flat against the body to eliminate movement, friction, and discomfort while riding.

For the best fit, the bib shorts should feel supportive and secure without excessive looseness, bunching, or fabric movement when in a riding position.
